Valisa has always been the creative type throughout her formative years growing up in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Whether she was constructing sandals with her sister using cardboard, tagboard, staples, glue and glitter at nine years old, or hand-crafting a plastic unicorn while taking 7th grade shop class, or singing alto in the mixed chorus choir as well as dancing in her high school musicals, it was inevitable that she would end up pursuing a career in the arts. Valisa earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Advertising at Michigan State University. She continued her graduate studies at Portfolio Center with an emphasis in Art Direction and Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Valisa moved to New York City and began her career as an Art Director. Valisa created a second career as a commercial print model, a parts model, a shoe model and an actor all while working as a Freelance Art Director. Valisa is a member of SAG and AFTRA as well as the New York Film Society. |
